Hei,
I have a time series with values of average daily temperatures for a period from 1 January 1943 - 31 December 2017. The data are in a matrix (a) with the first column being the date, as number (for example in my case a(100,1) = 7.0977e+05 being 10-Apr-1943 12:00:00). For all the years I need to find the date after 7 consecutive days have had a temperature > 5 oC. This is normally to occur somewhere between the 1 April - 31 May and is considered the start of the growing season
Wonder how to obtain these dates for the period from 1.1.1943 - 31.12.2017. Hope there is one who can give me an idea, suggestion.
Thanks in advance
Johannes

Here is the required information. The data are in the temp.mat file with first column beig the date and the second column being the mean daily temperatures. An attached fiigure shows the mean daily temperature for one year, from 1.1.43 - 31.12.43.
The question is as mentiond before to find the start of the growing season being the date after 7 consecutive days with a mean daily temperature > 5 oC. I would like to add an additional question. I also like to know the date of the end of the growing season, this being the date after 7 consecutive days with a mean daily temperature < 5 oC, this normally occurring during the months of october - november.
Regards
Johannes
