What is the meaning of vec2ind "Convert vectors to indices"?

vec = [0 0 1 0; 1 0 0 0; 0 1 0 0]'
vec =
0 1 0
0 0 1
1 0 0
0 0 0
[ind,n] = vec2ind(vec)
ind =
3 1 2
n =
4
Any idea how to get the "3 1 2"?

The first transposition gets the values for the columns (rather than rows), then the second transposition creates ‘L’ to be the same dimensions ‘T’ originally is.

Are you able to
data=load('iris');
It said:
>> data=load('iris');
Error using load
Unable to read file 'iris'. No such file or directory.
I am able to
data=load('fisheriris');
in sample dataset in mathwork Simple Data Set link
But cannot find "iris" dataset
