Parrot Mambo recognized as USB Mass Storage Device, not RNDIS

4 views (last 30 days)
I tried to install RNDIS for Parrot Minidrones, as directed here. However, the initial step shows an RNDIS device under "Other Devices" in Device Manager. Whenever I plug in the Mambo drone to my computer (Windows 7 and Windows 10), it immediately is recognized as a USB Mass Storage Device under USB Controller. I cannot change the driver to be an RNDIS Component. When I try uninstalling the USB Mass Storage device using Device Manager, an item under "Other Devices" appears for a brief period before disappearing, and the USB Mass Storage Device reappears. It is impossible to go through all the steps to install the RNDIS Component before the computer recognizes it as a USB Mass Storage Device.
I have tried updating the firmware on the drone from the Parrot website (v3.0.26). I have done a factory reset of the drone. However, nothing appears to work.
Any suggestions on how to install the RNDIS Component. It appears that it is the first step to using anything else in the Parrot Minidrones Support Package.
Thanks in advance.
