How to connect EEG device and visual stimulus in different scripts store data in parallel ?

Hello all,

I have a visual stimulus that I need to use to collect EEG data. I have created one script file for visual stimulus and another script file for EEG recording. How can I make the EEG script to record data at the same time when another script starts showing the visual stimulus ?

Do I need to create functions and keep them in same .m file ? Or is it possible to run two different scripts at the same time in matlab ? Please provide suggestions.
