How can I model the motion of 2 gears (pinion & gear) but considering one of them fixed to ground?

Hello.
I am modeling the classic pinion-gear motion using SimMechanics toolbox of Simulink. What I am trying to do is to keep the gear fixed to ground, so the the pinion can mesh with the gear but moving or rolling over its whole contour.
I did not succeed using the Gear Constraint block because the 2 gears have to be moving around its own axes and with respect to a third fixed body.
Is there any constraint block or solution that can help me with this poblem??
Thanks.
José Alfredo.

Hi Jose,
You can use a Rack and Pinion constraint for rolling motion along a straight line. Look at an example that ships with Simscape Multibody (>>smdoc_rack_and_pinion). The visualization shows a gear and a toothed bar. If the World Frame is attached to the B port of the Revolute Joint, you would get what you need.
Hope that helps, --Steve

Can you please give us .slx file for this example rolling pinion over fixed rack Because (>>smdoc_rack_and_pinion) Showing moving rack and fixed rotationg pinion @steve miller
