1. Consider the curve
\sqrt[4]{{14+5x+x^2}/{4-2x+0.5x^2}}
(a) What is the range of the variable x, which makes y real?
(b) Sketch the curve and estimate the global maximum.
(c) Find the value of this maximum and the corresponding value of x at the maximum.
2. Plot the following functions on the same graph. Take the interval (0 less than or equal to t less than or equal 20 )and choose a
suitable Dalta t (e.g., 0:01s).
Y1 (t) = 1.5e^-t
Y2(t) = 3e^-0.5t
Y3(t) = 3e^-0.5t cos(0:554t + {pi/4 }) + 1:5e^-t
Limit the Y-axis from - 1 to 5 and the X-axis from 0 to 20. Also determine the values of y3(t)
at t = 2 and t = 6, and the minimum value of y3(t).
