Can you run 2018 Matlab scripts in 2017 version?

Hello, I have some files on my computer that come from 2018 version of Matlab (scripts, functions), but I need to use them also in my univeristy computer lab which has 2017(or maybe even older) version of Matlab. Would I be able to run them there?

You can use it but https://in.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/320834-can-i-open-a-file-with-different-versions-of-matlab#answer_250968 some new features in 2018 won't work in 2017 so that part might be frustrating in the future
