Why wont MATLAB 2018b Academic-use won't display RUN button?

Dear user, I install the latest MATLAB 2018b in Ubuntu 16.04. THE License is under academic use However, there is no run button under the editor group.
May I know what is the problem

Your file's name is test. It does not have the .m extension, so it is not a MATLAB program file and MATLAB cannot run it. If you rename that file to test.m the Run button should appear and the keyboard shortcut F5 should work.
