matlab implementation for scl decoder

Greetings any one know how is the matlab code(tavildar) https://github.com/tavildar/Polar for polar code work, i see its work on BEC channel, if i want to make it work on AWGN channel, what i must change in the code, i think i must change the channel polarization. is the decoder must change with the channel change? i mean is the decoder affected by the channel type?
