Error "Caused by: Response from instrument was empty" while Building Simulink Models to Transmit Data

I am following the steps given in https://www.mathworks.com/help/instrument/building-simulink-models-to-send-and-receive-data.html but at simulation I get error "An error occurred while running the simulation and the simulation was terminated Caused by: Response from instrument was empty." Matlab version is r2017b
