I do not see an attachment. Can you run
license('test','Simscape')
It should return 1

Hello Walter, I have the Simscape license but I get the output of the license('test','Simscape') = 0 , but since you made comment about the trial license, previously I had used a simscape trial license , can that effect the checkout of the current license, I have made sure the trial license is not present in the folder 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2020b\licenses'

Check all the locations listed in
https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/99147-where-are-the-license-files-for-matlab-located
Also, check your environment variables for LM_LICENSE_FILE and MLM_LICENSE_FILE https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/93105-what-are-the-lm_license_file-and-mlm_license_file-environment-variables-and-how-do-i-set-or-check-fo in case you are pointed to a license at that level.
