How to smooth the sharp peaks of a curve?

I want to smooth this kind of sharp peaks and it's fine if I need to multiply the equation to some equations or manipulate the data. I have tried

y_given=interp1(x,y,xgiven,'spline'); 

and 

cs = csapi(x,y);
fnplt(cs,1);"

but it doesn't change my curve so much.
