Dear Matlab:
I am building a shell scripts that writes text files of wind speed and direction, then initiates the attached matlab .m file at the command line that generates and saves a series of wind rose diagrams from those data. The script runs fine within the Matlab gui, but when I run it at the command line using "matlab -nojvm < windrose_seasons.m" I get the following error message at line 107:
>> >> Error using figure This functionality is no longer supported under the -nojvm startup option. For more information, see "Changes to -nojvm Startup Option" in the MATLAB Release Notes. To view the release note in your system browser, run web('http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/release-notes.html#btsurqv-6','-browser').
I am unable to find information on "Changes to -nojvm Startup Option" at the site above. Is there any way I can generate and save figures by running this file from a shell script?
Thanks,
Larry Mastin
