Battery Charger Model (CC-Mode, controlled current source and switch)

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello there,
I'm designing a model of two batteries in parallel in Simulink/Simscape. And now I want to add a charger to it. The first charging state should be Constant Current Mode and I intend to use a controlled current source for it. But the problem is, I only want to charge one battery at a time, either Battery 1 or Battery 2. And this will be determined by a signal coming from a Statemachine(like:signal=1,charge Battery 1; signal=2,charge Battery 2).
I tried to achieve this by adding switch to each parallel branch, but it doesn't work, because the switch in SimScape is not ideal and its open resistance cannot be infinite, while the controlled current source is an ideal current source, which will always remain a constant output current.
So how can I achieve this? Is there something like ideal switch in Simscape or do you have any other ideas?
Thank you very much! ;)
