I dislike the R2016a sisotool, how to get back the old one?

1 view (last 30 days)
I really don't like the new sisotool shipped with MATLAB R2016a, primarily because it constrains everything to be in a single window - in other words, I cannot undock plots to have multiple windows that I can hide or spread across the screen (and especially across different virtual desktops in Windows 10). How can I get back the old sisotool (R2015b or older) or how can I at least undock plots in the new sisotool (as shown below)?

You can't go home again. Well, you can, but you may not like what you find there either.
You cannot use an old version of one specific tool, while using the new release of MATLAB.
You can go back to the old release, but that means any improvements that are in the current release go away.

Hi Danylo,
To reiterate John's point, MathWorks does not recommend the workflow of using older toolbox functions with newer releases of MATLAB. Variations between the two releases may result in unpredictable behavior, and we do not support this.
Your best choice would be to continue using R2015b's sisotool if possible.
I have notified the development team of your feature request, and they will determine whether this functionality will be added to future releases of MATLAB.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
