MATLAB R2016a for Mac silent install does not work

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I'm trying to get MATLAB to install silently from the terminal, but each time I try to run "./install -inputFile installer_input.txt" I get a permission denied. I throw a sudo in front of all that and the same thing happens. I go to root with "sudo su" and STILL permission is denied. What gives? Removing the "./" from in front of the command also does nothing. Just throws a usage error with "--i" not being a valid option. I just need an example of how to properly execute this command from the OS X terminal. I'm not a unix guru, nor should one have to be to do this.
Thanks
