How to acquire high frequency data with Matlab from arduino?

Hey, I need to get data from an Arduino due and the signal I am acquiring is at a 7KHz frequency. As you may think I need a really small sample time. I am using the support package for arduino but it doesn't seem to be acquiring fast enough. is there a way to loop fast enough in matlab so my data will be correct?
