Whenever I start up matlab 2015b it tries to contact Mathworks. The PC isn't connected to the internet, so a message pops up saying "cannot connect to Mathworks".
I don't need it to connect to Mathworks and I don't want it to. All this is doing is slowing down start-up and giving irritating error messages.
How do I stop Matlab calling the mothership every time it starts?

Nick's "Answer" moved here:
It doesn't happen to me on my laptop - which is normally connected to the interweb; but happens pretty much every time on an office bound desktop in my client's factory.

That does not happen to me. Call the Mathworks for fast and free installation help.

I wonder if it's related to license expiration...? If so, the solution might be to go online temporarily just to renew the license.
