how do i convert time domain signal to frequency domain signal?

I have a sensor data signal of lenth 4000*1.
It is time domain.
How can i convert it into frquency domain.
Any commands in MAtlab doing this conversion.
Please Help.

fft() is one

Hi,
Thanks for your comment.
So you say,
fft(myvalues) will give me the signal in frequency domain right?
If you don't even know what a Fast Fourier Transform is, why do you even want your signal in the frequency domain?
I knew what FFT is.
i was using transfer functions matrix methods to convert it.
just for clarification i want to make sure that this works correct.
Yes, FFT or Fast Fourier Transform converts the signal from the (usually) time domain to the frequency domain.
ifft() performs the inverse, i.e. moving from freq. domain to time domain (usually).
