Do image elements( such as the pixel, type of color, sizes,...) really affect the fractal dimension?

I have several images which I wanted to estimate their fractal dimension in order to distinguish their character. However, the result a wasn't good as I expected. I wonder if image elements( such as the pixel, type of color, sizes,...) really affected the fractal dimension.

Yes they do. Maybe your images are so similar that the difference is way out in the 8th decimal place or something.

Thank for your answer. However, threr is one thing that I want to ask you. If I have two image of mamograms( one is benign tumor, the other is cancerous tnumor), both have different sizes, the pixel but the tumor was contoured. I want to process them so that they have the same criteria( the sizes, the pixel) before I calculate their fractal dimension. Can you give me some advice or documentation which can help me. Thank you so much.
