How to fix “Are you up to date on software maintenance?”

Hi, I am a user with a perpetual Home license for MATLAB and Simulink. I currently want to purchase a toolbox (Simscape), but I’m getting this “Software Maintenance” error. How can I purchase and download the toolbox I want? Also, in my License Center, it shows that the end-of-service dates for MATLAB and Simulink are February 28, 2026, and July 31, 2026, respectively.

It is currently after February 28, 2026, so your Software Maintenace Service has expired. The add-on explorer can only be used if SMS is current on your license.
It also happens that as of January 1, 2026, it is no longer possible to renew Software Maintenace Service for Home licenses. Instead, it is now necessary to repeatedly purchase annual Home Suite licenses.
Home Suite is annually slightly more expensive ($US165) than the perpetual license for MATLAB Home alone used to be ($US 150), but includes MATLAB, Online Training Suite, Simulink, Control System Toolbox, Curve Fitting Toolbox, Deep Learning Toolbox, DSP System Toolbox, Image Processing Toolbox, Optimization Toolbox, Parallel Computing Toolbox, Signal Processing Toolbox, Simscape, Simscape Electrical, Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox, Symbolic Math Toolbox. If you happen to have a use for a number of those toolboxes, the new annual fee comes out much the same as it used to cost for Software Maintenance Service. However, the new policy isn't much comfort if you only needed bare-bones MATLAB.

Thank you very much, Walter. Personally, I would have liked to at least have the chance to choose two (just to pick a number) add-ons from the 12 included in the license renewal—the two that I consider most important to me or that I’m most interested in learning.
