How to improve the speed of xlswrite function in GUI

Hi,

I am using number of xlsread and xlswrite functions in my code which has make my program very slow.

Is there any way to improve the speed of my code. I have tried xlswrite1 function, but its not working on GUI.

Kindly help me out.
