dir results are not fitting the wildcard

Dear all,

thanks in advance for reading this question which seems kind of dumb to me but i need a solution for this issue. a workaround would be easy but not nice.

i use the dir command with a wildcard to find files in a folder but the returned file names do not fit the wildcard:

dir('O:\FIP\2015\WW007\IGB1M\2014_12_23_10_36\*RGB*.cr2')

2014_12_23_FWW0070150.CR2 2014_12_23_FWW0070156.CR2

2014_12_23_FWW0070151.CR2 2014_12_23_FWW0070157.CR2

2014_12_23_FWW0070152.CR2 2014_12_23_FWW0070158.CR2

2014_12_23_FWW0070153.CR2 2014_12_23_FWW0070159.CR2

2014_12_23_FWW0070154.CR2

2014_12_23_FWW0070155.CR2

I use matlab 2022b and would be happy for a fix.

I don't have the problem on my side

I created 2 files

2014_12_23_FWW0070150.cr2

2014_12_23_FWW0RGB150.cr2

and run this code :

    P = pwd; % absolute or relative path to where the files are saved . 
    S = dir(fullfile(P,'*RGB*.cr2 ')); 
    [~,C] = fileparts({S.name }); 

Result is :

S = struct with fields:

name: '2014_12_23_FWW0RGB150.cr2'

folder: 'C:\Users\A0H36019\Documents'

date: '03-mai-2024 13:32:41'

bytes: 16

isdir: 0

datenum: 7.3938e+05

C = '2014_12_23_FWW0RGB150'

in your case P = 'O:\FIP\2015\WW007\IGB1M\2014_12_23_10_36'

As I do not understand I copied the found files to another folder and there it works as expected. So it seems to be a os issue.
