Simulink minimap not working correctly

Hello, I noticed while working in a Simulink model (R2023b) that the miniature view of the model which opens while zooming does not seem to work properly. Here's a view of the problem in a dummy model:

I would expect the minimap to display a zoomed out view that shows the entire model, and the blue portion of it to highlight the area into which the user is currently zoomed. This is not the case -- it shows a partially zoomed-in view of the model (which does not change regardless of the zoom state). The blue area would seem to correspond to the part of the model I'm zoomed into, if the minimap correctly displayed a fully zoomed-out version of my model.

I originally noticed the issue in a .MDL file imported from an old version of Simulink (I'd guess pre-2012), but the dummy model above was created in the up-to-date version from the "New Model" button.

Is this a known issue, or am I otherwise doing something wrong with the model to cause this to happen?
