Impossible to reinstall Service Host after uninstalling

94 views (last 30 days)
Hello. I have a real big problem.
On my Windows 11 account, which is admin account, I followed the steps to Uninstall and Reinstall the Mathworks Service host as here described.
Well, after done all the passages, is not possible anymore to reinstall the Service Host and so to get access to Matlab software at all (versione 2023b). Indeed, I tried also to uninstall and reinstall Matlab software from the beginning, but it gives me this error:
If I try to open the .exe file of the Matlab Connector, it simply doesn't open, nothing happens.
I don't know which solution to adopt. I already checked all my permissione, admin configuration, I followed step by step the advice, buy now I find myself without any possibility to use Matlab, after I followed the instructions on the first link.
Can anyone help? thanks so much!

Hi Fransec,
These steps proved effective for me:
  1. Kill any active MathWorksServiceHost processes.
  2. Delete the directories %LOCALAPPDATA%\MathWorks\ServiceHost and %LOCALAPPDATA%\MathWorks\MATLABConnector (Note that these folders may be hidden, so ensure you've enabled the option to see hidden folders).
Should that approach fail, consider uninstalling and deleting all MathWorks Service Host-related directories and files.
If issues persist, feel free to reach out to the MathWorks Support Team via this link:https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html
I hope this answers your query.
