According to this link, changing the color scheme should also change the color of appdesigner, but it's not working as it should: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/creating_guis/app-designer-code-generation.html#:~:text=These%20settings%20affect%20both%20the%20App%20Designer%20Code%20View%20editor%20and%20the%20MATLAB%20Editor.
Appdesigner color scheme not working

I am not sure if there is a setting that I am missing, but when I changed the color scheme in Preferences under Colors, the appdesigner background color and code is not changing with it (it should be black and white, respectively). I can see that some of the color scheme was changed to be similar to the Matlab Editor, like the comments (green) and the string (purple), and the keywords (blue), but the background and the code are not changing.
You can see this in the picture attached, which shows the appdesigner Code Editor in the upper left, the Matlab Editor in the lower right, and the my preferences on top of everything. Not sure what is wrong, but any help is appreciated. I am using 2023b, if that makes a difference.

Edit: I do not think the color changes are applied to the appdesigner at all, so what I wrote above "I can see that some of the color scheme was changed to be similar to the Matlab Editor, like the comments (green) and the string (purple), and the keywords (blue)..." should be crossed out (not really sure how to that here). If you compare the Keywords color, the blue is slightly different in the sample vs in the appdesigner picture.

Please contact tech support and include your release info and instructions on how you changed the color scheme. Feel free to include the URL of this thread.

Bug is still there in 2024a. Keyword colour in app designer code is not the same as the specified colour via preferences in editor
