Texture & Edge Feature Extraction on Medical Imaging with Matlab

I am conducting a research to evaluate the feature extraction techniques for medical imaging using matlab. The targeted features of my project are texture and edge, and I will use DICOM format image to be the test sample. Could anyone provide me the source code of related feature extraction techniques?

If you want to write a literature review paper comparing/evaluating all the different feature extraction methods that extract/remove features that you care about, then I suggest you look over the titles of published papers in PubMed, or VisionBib: http://www.visionbib.com/bibliography/contents.html. You'd have to ask the authors for source code in MATLAB, and I doubt you'd be able to get that so you may have to end up writing many of the algorithms yourself.
