Hi everyone,
I'm writing a thesis about PMSM (AC Permanent Magent motor ), in which I should control the regenerative energy during it's braking. I have been wodering for a week, how the Back-EMF of PMSM can be simulated in Simulink, but still can not find a solution. Can someone give me some advices for this matter. I'm very grateful for your help.

If you're using Permanent Magnet Machine from Simscape library, I think, it has backemf as output signal. If you're building the machine model by yourself, you need to calculate it based on the rotor position and machine parameters

Hi Kandasamy,
Thank you for your answer. You are right, if I use the option trapezoidal Back-EMF in PMSM parameter block, i can get the Back-EMF. Problem here is, when I choose option sinusoidal Bback-EMF, I can only get the Hall-Sinals from the output of PMSM. Anyway, thanks again for your answer.
Best regards,
i need back emf based pmsm simulink model shehrozhashim54@gmail.com

Brother,I think you can find the relationships in the Back-EMF in PMSM and its stator phase current then get the waveform of PMSM's Back-EMF.
