Can LBP feature extraction computed in MATLAB be realized manually?

I understand the theory of LBP feature extraction. But I tried to use a simple image of 10 by 10 pixels and use ExtractLBPFeatures() function of MATLAB. What i got is entirely different with my manually computed values. can somebody relate the two approaches for me. I want prove what I am doing.

The answer is yes. Differences may depend on what pixel you consider to be least and most significant.
