I encountered an error ‘Error during service call, cannot get the state of the model’

This is a routine that comes with matlab. I have successfully run it in matlab2016b and matlab2019b, but I can’t succeed in matlab2021b. I’m not sure what caused it.This routine is ‘Add, Build, and Remove Objects in Gazebo’

Since that seems to have resolved the issue, copying my comment into an answer:
Make sure to get a new VM as directed by this example any time you upgrade your release. ROS Toolbox is using Melodic for communication R2020b-R2022a, so if you're using the same VM as you did with R2019b (or before), there may be issues communicating.
