Are Simulink Real-Time Explorer based Instrument Panels (.slrtip) available in R2020b and newer releases?

When we worked with Simulink Real-Time (SLRT) in R2020a and prior releases, we created Instrument Panels in Simulink Real-Time Explorer (slrtexplr) to visualize, tune and monitor the real-time simulation. However, in R2020b and later, the *.slrtip files don't open anymore.

Simulink Real-Time Explorer based instrument panels (*.slrtip) are not available anymore as part of Simulink Real-Time. The reason is that Simulink Real-Time went through a major product update for the R2020b release, and Simulink Real-Time Explorer was re-implemented in R2020b as part of this.
The support for Simulink Real-Time Explorer based Instrument Panels was completely removed in R2020b in favor of using MATLAB apps created with App Designer. See the following MATLAB Answers post to learn more about creating instrumentation apps for Simulink Real-Time with App Designer:
For simple signal monitoring, you can consider other options such as streaming to Simulink Data Inspector (SDI), or adding Dashboard, Display, or Scope blocks to your model.
Simulink Real-Time Explorer based Instrument Panels can still be used in R2020a and prior releases, however, the release notes in R2019a discourage their use and encourage users to switch to App Designer.
