I just updated my OS X to Yosemite today, and when I try to use matlab it says You can't use this version of the application "Matlab R2014a.app" with this version of OS X.
Is there any fix??

This has been answered before on here. Of course, I would think that BEFORE I'd ever do something like a major OS upgrade, I'd have checked... Just a suggestion for the future.

I tried the fix posted here before, it doesn't work. Matlab does not spit out a giant error log the system simply forbid you launching the app.

It's working now! I couldn't download it from your older link, so I found one on mathworks' website, and that one didn't work. This one worked, thank you!

For MATLAB R2012a through R2014a , there are two fixes available:
  • One will remove the 'cancel' icon over the MATLAB icon, and will resolve "You can't use this version of the application" message.
  • The other will resolve a Java error when attempting to launch MATLAB.
These fixes can be accessed through the following MathWorks Answer:
