Installing matlab r2018b in macbook air m1

Having issues trying to install Matlab r2018b in macbook air m1. (Only this version is provided from my university). When clicking the InstallForMacOSX button it says "unable to run". Anyone having same issues ?

From this Answers post: "MATLAB R2020b Update 3 and later are supported on Apple silicon Macs through the Rosetta 2 translation environment. Earlier releases of MATLAB may run but are not fully supported." [Emphasis added.]

So what's the solution in this case? How can i run the installer?

Best would be to get release R2020b Update 3 or a later release.
