The error is saying that you called the MSA function without supplying any arguments. E.g., if you did something like this:
[Q,V,R] = MSA; % No input arguments supplied
Then when you get inside the MSA function D would not exist. First time you try to use D inside the function you will get the error.
To fix this, you need to call MSA with an input, e.g. MSA(D).
