i am new to MATLAB. i am working on image processing.

can anyone list out the topics in order. so that i can start learning easily.

i am confused about spatial filtering.

edge detection(sobel,canny prewiit,,, i donot know which one is standard)

gaussian filtering(how can i make it without fspecial function)...

please help me....

Steve on Image Processing, this blog integrates digital image processing with MATLAB. But I'd say it's better to have some theoretical background in image processing first. You can buy digital image processing/DIPUM by Gonzalez to start learning systematically, it's a really nice book to start with. Or , here you can find detailed IIT lectures that follow the contents specified in the book
