With the introduction of Cody Coursework, I'm often asked how to help beginning students who have not yet learned about MATLAB functions.

When defining a programming problem in Cody Coursework, you have the option of choosing scripts or functions as a problem type. If your students are unfamiliar with using functions in MATLAB, using a script-based problem could be a more appropriate choice.
Take special note of the Solution Template. This template includes sample code that you modify and offer to the student as a starting point for solving a problem. The sample code provided changes depending on the category of problem you select. Tailor the sample code in the Solution Template to meet the needs of your problem and your students.
