Filter response if only first half of filter coefficients are used

Hello,

Can someone explain how the filter response will be if only the first half of the generated filter coefficients are used instead of using all the filter coefficients.

For example if the pulse signal is sampled at a rate of 512 Hz that has a high pass frequencies for which lowpass filter is used.

How will be the filter response if only first half of lowpass filter coefficients are used. Thanks.
