How can I read a .DM3 files

I want to ask if is it possible to read .DM3 files under matlab I have a series of microscopy images and i want to read them under matlab.

I found this http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/43005-read-dm3-and-dm4-image-files but my problem I can't understand what he meant by filename and log file is filename:the path of my data and log file its name? can anybody help me
