Demosaic 16bit Image into a 16 bit Color image

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi, the Demosaic function in Matlab create a truecolor image not in the same format as the input, so the output is of type "Double". Anybody knows an optimal way to convert a bayer image into a true color image keeping the type? tnx

Can't you just use uint8() to cast it to uint8 or whatever?

in Conversions you lose information in the image! that's why i do not want to use any class conversions.

Then don't. You don't have to. You can keep it as floating point. You only need to convert to uint8 if you want to display it or you want to save it in a standard image format file.
