Resolve Issues with Setting Up SD Card
Issue
Wireless Testbench™ requires your radio to run with a specific firmware version on the radio. If you are using Wireless Testbench for the first time or you have updated your MATLAB® version, you may need to update the firmware on your radio. If your radio has UHD™ version 4.0 or later, you can skip this step and update the firmware in the Validate step in the Radio Setup wizard without removing the SD card.
If your radio has a UHD version earlier than 4.0, use the Set Up SD Card to write the microSD card with the required firmware version. You must have a writable microSD card with the correct specifications for your operating system (OS) and hardware capable of writing the SD card.
If you have a USRP™ E320 radio with an enclosure, you must remove part of the enclosure to access the microSD card.
Possible Solutions
Hardware Requirements
To write a microSD card with the required software version, you must have a writable microSD card and one of the following:
A microSD card reader on your host computer
A standard SD card reader on your host computer and an adapter
An external USB SD card reader
SD Card Requirements on Linux
If your host computer has a Linux® OS, your SD card must have a FAT32 partition with a minimum of 14.8 GB of free space.
SD Card Requirements on Windows
If your host computer has a Windows® OS, your microSD card must have a formatted partition and a minimum of 14.8 GB of free space.
Note
If you previously used your microSD card with a USRP radio on a Windows OS, your microSD card can show up as a disk containing multiple partitions in the Drive menu.
Access SD Card for USRP E320 Radio
To access the microSD card on a USRP E320 radio with an enclosure, remove the rear panel using the Torx wrench provided with the device, or an equivalent Torx wrench.
