Configure Current Limiter with Variable Asymmetric Limits

This example shows how to implement a current limiter device with variable asymmetric limits using the Current Limiter block in Simscape™ Electrical™.

Model Overview

The model contains a current limiter, a resistive load, and an AC voltage source. To change the current limits dynamically, set the Limiter type parameter to Variable limit in the Current Limiter block. To use different upper and lower limits, use a Current Sensor block and a Switch block to determine the sign of the current and select different limits for each current direction.

Plot Current and Limits

The current is correctly saturated to the value that the upper limit and lower limit signals define.
