Introduction to Motor Control is a self-paced, interactive course that is included with the Online Training Suite.
Introduction to Motor Control provides an introduction to modeling and controlling electric motors in Simulink®. To get the most out of Introduction to Motor Control, take Simulink Onramp first.
Introduction to Motor Control teaches you to:
Identify and set fundamental parameters for a motor block.
Integrate an Average-Value Inverter block into a model.
Convert a three-phase voltage output to a three-phase duty signal.
Implement an open-loop motor controller.
Implement a closed-loop controller with speed and current control loops.
Use Rate Transition blocks to improve simulation speed.
Introduction to Motor Control uses tasks to teach concepts incrementally, such as through a real-life example with motor-inverter plant model, Voltage-by-Frequency (V/F) controller and Field-Oriented Controller (FOC). You receive automated assessments and feedback after submitting tasks. Your progress is saved when you exit the course, so you can complete the course in multiple sessions.
