Troubleshooting MATLAB Connector Issues in Mac

Troubleshoot Unable to Connect or Connection Lost Errors

Issue

When MATLAB® Connector starts or when MATLAB Connector is running, if there is a problem with the connection, then one of following message appears:

Unable to connect to MATLAB Connector on this machine.
Connectivity with MATLAB Connector lost.

Possible Solutions

To fix this issue, restart MATLAB Connector™.

  1. Click the Exit button in the bottom-left corner of the MATLAB Connector window. You also can right-click the MATLAB Connector icon in the menu bar (usually at the top-right of the screen) and then select Exit from the context menu.

  2. Go to your menu bar and in the status area, click the MATLAB Connector icon and ensure that Enable Hardware Connectivity toggle switch is on.

Troubleshoot Missing Notifications

Issue

Notifications might not be displayed when the MATLAB Connector is running.

Possible Solutions

To fix this issue, open Spotlight Search, type System Preferences and press Enter. In the System Preferences window, search for Notifications & Focus.
