Description

Select the baud rate for the processor-in-the-loop (PIL) or external mode simulation.

Dependencies

To enable this parameter, set Connectivity interface parameter to Serial (ASCLINX), or CAN (MCANY). The values of X and Y depend on the Device Series parameter value.

Settings

921600 (default)

The default value for universal measurement and calibration protocol (XCP)-based external mode simulation using serial communication is 921600 and for XCP-based external mode simulation using CAN communication is 1000kbps. The default value and the available options depend on the choice of Connectivity interface parameter value.

Tips

• For XCP-based external mode simulation over CAN, this parameter value must match the value specified for the Baud rate parameter.

• External mode communication over a serial connection at baud rates greater than 921600 might not operate reliably because of clock tolerance differences across Infineon AURIX hardware boards. If communication issues occur, use a lower baud such as 921600 or 500000. Alternatively, use a dedicated FTDI-based USB-to-UART adapter and configure the Connectivity interface, Tx Pin, and Rx Pin parameters.
