Cpp.PlaceholderTypeSpecifier Class
Namespace: Cpp
Superclasses: AstNodeProperties
Represents the placeholder_type_specifier nodes in the syntax tree of your code
Since R2026a
Description
PlaceholderTypeSpecifier class represents the C++ syntax node placeholder_type_specifier in your code and contains predicates to query properties and children of this node.
Predicates
| Type | Raisable | Printable |
|---|---|---|
PlaceholderTypeSpecifier
| Yes | No |
This class defines these predicates that act on the objects of this class. In addition, objects of this class can access the predicates defined by the base class AstNodeProperties. An object of this class is an object of AstNodeProperties class.
| Predicates | Description |
|---|---|
is(required PlaceholderTypeSpecifier &pts)
|
Finds syntax nodes of the type PlaceholderTypeSpecifier in your C++ code and returns
them as pts. A PlaceholderTypeSpecifier represents placeholder
type specifiers such as auto and decltype, including
concept‑constrained placeholders introduced in C++20.
|
isa(Cpp.Node.Node node)
|
Checks if node is a PlaceholderTypeSpecifier. Use this relation
if you want to negate the condition (for example:
not Cpp.PlaceholderTypeSpecifier.isa(n)).
|
cast(Cpp.Node.Node node, required PlaceholderTypeSpecifier &cast)
|
Finds syntax nodes of the type PlaceholderTypeSpecifier from the nodes in
node. Retrieval occurs if node is compatible with the
PlaceholderTypeSpecifier type. Use this relation if you need further
PlaceholderTypeSpecifier properties.
|
auto(PlaceholderTypeSpecifier self, Cpp.Node.Node &child)
|
Matches the auto placeholder type specifier. For example, in
auto x = 42;, this predicate matches the
auto keyword.
|
decltype(PlaceholderTypeSpecifier self, Cpp.Node.Node &child)
|
Matches the decltype placeholder type specifier. For example, in
decltype(x) y = x;, this predicate matches
decltype(x).
|
constraint(PlaceholderTypeSpecifier self, Cpp.Node.Node &child)
|
Matches a constraint applied to a placeholder type specifier. This is used for
concept‑constrained placeholders, such as constrained auto declarations
introduced in C++20.
|
isEnclosedInPlaceholderTypeSpecifier(Cpp.Node.Node child)
|
Checks if child appears inside a PlaceholderTypeSpecifier.
|
getEnclosingPlaceholderTypeSpecifier(Cpp.Node.Node child, required PlaceholderTypeSpecifier &parent)
|
Finds the nearest enclosing PlaceholderTypeSpecifier ancestor of
child and returns it as parent.
