Capabilities and Features

Use the Xilinx® Zynq®-7000 AP SoC Intelligent Drives Kit II from Avnet® to develop custom motor control algorithms that target the Xilinx Zynq-7000 All-Programmable SoC. This kit is designed for use with a Simulink® hardware/software workflow. It supports C code generation for the ARM® Cortex-A9 core using Embedded Coder®, and it supports HDL code generation with HDL Coder™ to produce IP cores that accelerate time-critical functions in the Zynq’s programmable fabric.

About the Kit

The Avnet kit is a hardware/software platform that includes a ZedBoard baseboard, an Analog Devices® AD-FMCMOTCON2-EBZ FMC module for motor control, and a 24 V, 4000 RPM brushless DC motor for use in prototyping. The kit also includes a voucher for Xilinx Vivado™ Design Edition. The kit’s hardware may be used with stepper, brushed DC, and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), and an optional dynamometer that provides a dynamically-adjustable load is available for use with the kit.
