Technical Account Manager - Energy Transformation

You will provide technical leadership, foster executive and engineering relationships, recommend workflow improvements, guide strategic initiatives, and connect customers with the appropriate MathWorks resources to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Account Manager, you will closely collaborate with the Sales Account Manager on developing and executing the account strategy in order to increase the adoption of MathWorks products and services. Through this, you will generate new business and contribute to the long-term customer successes with your account. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the trusted technical advisor for strategic global accounts, building relationships from engineers to executive stakeholders.
  • Drive adoption of MathWorks solutions by aligning customer business objectives, technology roadmaps, and engineering workflows with strategic initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership for engineering transformation programs involving Model-Based Design, AI, systems engineering, software development, and verification workflows.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies by teaming up with Sales to expand adoption, create customer value, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead strategic technical engagements by coordinating resources, managing complex initiatives, and ensuring customer success.
  • Advocate for the customer within MathWorks by influencing product direction, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and demonstrating business impact through executive engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Expertise with MATLAB
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Additional Qualifications

  • Substantial working experience with development processes of global industry manufacturing companies
  • Experience in leading or supporting strategic technology transformation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Design as a methodology, System Engineering, software development, simulation, testing, verification and validation
  • Strong customer-facing, consulting, and business development skills.
  • Proven ability to identify technical challenges, quantify business value, and influence strategic decisions.
  • Have a desire to listen to customers and present software solutions while setting realistic expectations
  • Ability to interact effectively with MathWorks business partners in Sales, Application Engineering, Marketing, Training, Consulting and Software Development
