Are you proactive with a background in engineering or science, and passionate about impacting education and research? Do you enjoy interacting with academics and tackling their research and education challenges? Read on. 

In this role you are a technical point of contact for university customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries. It is your responsibility to empower them to solve their technical and business challenges and to build long-term partnerships. You demonstrate the value of MATLAB and Simulink to grow their adoption in teaching and research. You leverage your insight into academia to paint a vision of how MathWorks fosters success in education and discovery. 

Position is based in Kista, Stockholm with around 30% of time travel as and when required.


  • Identify, track and influence adoption of MathWorks products in relevant Engineering, Science and Business courses, at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
  • Identify key research projects and groups that can benefit from the adoption of MathWorks products.
  • Engage with these groups to understand their goals and challenges. Leverage product knowledge and industry experience to recommend MathWorks solutions.
  • Develop Technical Engagement Plans and activities to increase adoption of MathWorks products across a set of universities. Regularly review the key metrics to adapt plans.
  • Advocate and support deeper use of MathWorks products across all aspects of a university, including curriculum and coursework, in research and commercial projects, and in high-impact student activities (competitions, projects etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and application examples.
  • Establish rapport with leading faculty and researchers to persuade them to advocate MathWorks products on-campus and in the broader academic community.
  • Maintain and Complete existing curriculum or research projects with academics 
  • Advocate on behalf of customers to influence the future of MathWorks products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Proven experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with Simulink and workflows is a plus
  • A Master's or Doctorate in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Science is a plus
  • Knowledge of the academic environment in the Nordics and Baltics is a plus
  • Experience in technical customer and project support is a plus
