Language: English
Written for students, scientists, and software developers, this book presents the fundamentals of sparse matrix algorithms. The goal is to impart a working knowledge of the underlying theory and practice of sparse matrix algorithms, so that readers will have the foundation to understand more complex (but faster) algorithms. Topics covered include basic algorithms, solving triangular systems, and solving sparse linear systems.
MATLAB is introduced and used to solve numerous examples throughout the book. In addition, a supplemental set of MATLAB M-files is available for download.
Also available is a series of 42 lectures on sparse matrix algorithms that covers the material from the book.
