Language: English
This book addresses power system oscillations and power system stabilizers with transient simulation as a measure of controlled system performance. After discussing the nature of the oscillations, the this text describes how to design the power system stabilizers using modal analysis and frequency response. The design of damping controls, which operate through electronic power system devices, is also discussed. Data in MATLAB format are provided in the text.
